The fate of the man accused of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of David Merasty is now in the hands of an 11-member jury, who began deliberating early Tuesday afternoon following six days of testimony.
Merasty died in hospital on June 18, 2016, about half an hour after getting into an altercation with Lajray Orlando Redman Gordon on Avenue E South. Gordon was arrested and charged months after the incident.
