I can imagine some of the excuses used by the two-thirds of Canadians who do not plan to make RRSP contributions. Some of the following excuses are valid. Some are not.

Romanow: How to get in sync with offbeat wines
There are any number of winemakers throughout the world that choose to build eccentric wines, wines that are atypical of wines from their regions and countries.
The first Super Tuscans — wines made in Tuscany from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, designed to cater to the American market — were such wines. To accommodate such experimentation, wine countries around the world are creating specific classes of appellations to allow for improvement and the peculiarities of the wine -

Cuthand: Winter the perfect time for Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling month
February is Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling month. The first official recognition came in 2004 and for the past 14 years, events have been held around the province throughout the month of February.
This is a good idea and culturally appropriate, since it is during the winter months that the old stories were told. During the long, cold nights, the children were taught about their history, their spirituality and the creation of the earth and all the creatures that live among us.

Ambulance services in Saskatoon
Recently, I had to call 911 for an ambulance to transport my wife to a hospital. The ambulance arrived in 10 minutes and my wife arrived at the Royal University Hospital about 6:30 a.m. The Emergency Department had no beds available and we had to wait in the hallway for about an hour and a half until my wife could be admitted. Until my wife could be admitted the ambulance attendants made my wife comfortable and monitored her condition.

Fuller: CamReads finds new life in Lord of the Flies
Welcome to CamReads, my book club. I’m the only member. I keep it small so that my opinion is the only one that counts.
CamReads meets sporadically at my place. It has only thought-bubble discussions. Our latest book is Lord of the Flies by William Golding.
We chose it for two reasons. First, it was on our shelf. And second, we’ve never read it.
Don’t judge. There are many books that CamReads hasn’t read. Catcher in the Rye evaded our grasp for decades until, -
