RCMP are looking for a 31-year-old man who didn’t return to the Prince Albert Correctional Centre after a temporary absence.
Jonathon Wade Benson was out on a temporary absence from the jail starting Jan. 5, but was supposed to return to custody on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. According to a Ministry of Justice news release, Benson was serving a six-month sentence for common assault and breach of probation. He is not considered a threat to public safety.

Suspicious death: Body of 60-year-old man found in Saskatoon home
The death of a 60-year-old man in Saskatoon’s Stonebridge neighbourhood is considered by police to be suspicious.
Officers were first called to check on the welfare of a person in a home in the 100 block of Cope Crescent on Sunday around noon, police said in a news release. When they arrived, officers found a man dead inside.
“Major crime investigators have since determined the death is suspicious in nature,” police said in a news release.
