In January 2015, police caught Thai Duong Tran with nearly a kilogram of cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as 882 fentanyl pills destined for Saskatchewan.
Officers found the drugs when they arrested Tran in a Calgary parking lot, where he was meeting a drug courier from Saskatoon, according to an agreed statement of facts presented in Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench.
A Vancouver drug dealer hired Tran, who is from Richmond, B.C., to deliver the drugs from Vancouver for $3,
