Duron Carter takes Riders fans to the movies
TORONTO — Duron Carter is a man of his word.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver was looking for fans of the CFL team to attend a movie with him on Saturday, the day before Sunday’s East Division final against the host Toronto Argonauts.
Carter used social media to extend an invitation that featured one stipulation — the fans had to be in Riders gear. Twenty-six fans turned out for a screening of Justice League.
Carter then paid for all the fans. The total bill: $351.

Homes: Mid-century bungalow goes modern
The 1,278 square-foot bungalow located at 1921 Pembina Avenue was typical of 1960s-era homes constructed in Saskatoon with one significant exception: its spectacular river views.
Located in popular River Heights, the home is located on an elevated 50-foot wide lot that overlooks the South Saskatchewan River. “As soon as you walk into the home, you’re greeted by those river views. That’s the main reason we bought this property,” says Stephanie Baliski, a member of the fami -

Painstaking process explains Amarone's excellence — and price point
One of the world’s greatest wines is Amarone. The wine made from dried grapes of the Veneto. It is now and always has been a luxury wine. Fuller: Curriculum furor was entirely of my own doing, I guess
First of all, I’d like to apologize if anyone was offended by my recent statement regarding the law of gravity.
Yes, I was outraged when my son brought home an assignment from his third-year university geology class which was clearly biased in favour of the law of gravity.
Much to my dismay, it seems that the law of gravity has been “infused” into all areas of the college curriculum, based on the assumption that an invisible force keeps us from floating off into space, whether -
Cuthand: Education Minister Bronwyn Eyre's comments show undertones of a racist agenda
When the cat is away or planning his exit from politics the mice will play.
