One of the world’s largest manufacturers of moulded plastic clogs has filed a new lawsuit against the Saskatoon-based company behind “Dawgs”-branded shoes, alleging that it copied a proprietary design.
Crocs Canada Inc. and its parent company Crocs Inc. filed the suit in federal court on Nov. 1, four days after Double Diamond Distribution Ltd. filed its statement of claim alleging that the larger company hurt its business by using false advertising.

Child porn charges laid against Saskatoon man
A Saskatoon man is facing charges relating to the suspected downloading and distribution of child porn.
Twenty-eight-year-old Demetris Mastrogiannopoulos was arrested Thursday without incident and charged with three offences: accessing child pornography, possessing child pornography and making available child pornography. During the arrest, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit also executed a search warrant and seized multiple computer devices.

Two arrested after early morning robberies in Lawson Heights and Westview
Saskatoon police have arrested two men believed to be responsible for two early morning armed robberies that took place in the Lawson Heights and Westview neighbourhoods on Friday.
According to a police news release, the first robbery took place at approximately 4:30 a.m. at a business in the 100 block of Assiniboine Drive. The suspects entered the business wearing masks and armed with baseball bats and metal pipes. They demanded money and were able to make off with a small amount of cash.
