The debate at the party convention followed a tribute to outgoing Premier Brad Wall, who then gave an emotional address to the crowd.

Police kept busy with collisions on Saskatoon streets
During a nine-hour period overnight, emergency services were called to 16 collisions within Saskatoon.
Between 6 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday, there were two collisions with injuries and 14 collisions with no injuries, according to a Saskatoon police news release.
Weather and road conditions were a factor, the news release said.

Saskatoon's weather for Saturday: Some more snow
The snowfall that began Friday is expected to continue until near noon today, according to Environment Canada.
Approximately 10 to 15 cm of snow was expected to accumulate overnight before the snowfall eases off around lunchtime.
That might not be an end to the snow this weekend, however, as the forecast calls for cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of flurries Saturday afternoon and overnight.
