Metis items on display at the RCMP’s Heritage Centre in Regina will be returned to the Metis people within the next two years under a new agreement signed by the national policing body and the Metis National Council.
The announcement was made Saturday in Winnipeg during the Manitoba Metis Federation’s annual general assembly.
“There’s been a lot of celebration, an outpouring of support online. People are very happy to hear this issue’s been formally resolved,”

REVIEW: Grounded actor delivers weighty performance
The only character in Grounded, Live Five’s season-opening play, is a fighter pilot. Despite her extraordinary experiences, the play is about universal ones. Themes like work-life balance, stress, love and uncertainty are explored to their extremes, but in a way that rings true even if your feet are always firmly on the ground.
The character, played by Kate Herriot, is her job. Her flight suit represents hard work, nerve and sacrifice. It might as well be fused to her skin. So when life, m -

Sauvignon Blanc doesn't have to punch to get your attention
I live in a world of wine tasting. At various times over the course of the day, the month, the year, I will be presented with anywhere up to a couple of dozen wines. I have to notice them. I have to pay attention. But some days that’s just beyond me. Or sometimes after a half dozen I’m losing interest. You don’t know it but you live in this world. too. The University of Saskatchewan Huskies were cruising along at a perfect 2-0, but then came the skid, and the loss, with the toughest test of the season next on their schedule.

Fuller: The men's trip finds life in the dying season
The fall men’s trip to the cabin is one I anticipate like no other. It’s a wonderful weekend of fellowship and food, work and weather.
I remember a few years ago, standing on the deck in the crisp dark with my brother in-law, son and nephews, looking up in childlike wonder at the stars, thinking “This could be the best moment of my life.” Okay, the glass in my hand might have influenced my opinion, but still.

Cuthand: Trudeau's UN speech meaningless without action
This week we witnessed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau humble himself and the country in front of the United Nations. He spoke candidly about Canada’s ongoing and colonial relationship with the First Nations.

“We are greatly ashamed,” Trudeau said. “And for far too many Indigenous people -
