A 38-year-old will not be facing charges after Saskatoon police responded to a report of a man with a gun.
Police responded Friday around 10:30 a.m. with several units, including the armoured rescue vehicle, to the weapons call at a home in the 400 block of Craig Street, just off the Taylor Street exit onto Idylwyld Drive, police said in a news release.

No one was injured when an eastbound Canadian Pacific Railway train carrying potash derailed near Blucher, southeast of Saskatoon.
The train went off the rails around 7:55 a.m. Friday and initial reports indicate that more than 30 cars loaded with potash left the track, CP spokesman Jeremy Berry said in an email.

Saskatoon police responded with several units, including the armoured rescue vehicle, to a weapons call Friday morning on the city’s eastside.
Police were called to a home in the 400 block of Craig Street, just off the Taylor Street exit onto Idylwyld Drive, police said in a news release.
“The initial call came in regarding a male suspect with a gun,” police said.

Collision sends one person to hospital Thursday evening
Two people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries Thursday evening after a collision at the intersection of 71st Street East and Idylwyld Drive.
At 6:53 p.m., Saskatoon Police were called to the intersection of 71st Street East and Idylwyld Drive. A Dodge Caravan was travelling eastbound on 71st Street when it collided with a Kia sedan, which was travelling eastbound on Idylwyld Drive.
The collision caused the caravan to tip onto its side.
