Surging Roughriders bounce Bombers 38-24
A torrid first half propelled the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 38-24 CFL victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday.
En route to extending its winning streak to three games, Saskatchewan led 24-3 after the first quarter and 34-16 at halftime before a sellout crowd of 33,350 at Mosaic Stadium.
The Roughriders (5-4) registered their highest output over the opening 15 minutes since Aug. 2, 2014, when they outscored the host Ottawa Redblacks 24-0 en route to winning 38-14.
