Correction - One Facing Charges - Stolen Taxi
A 30 year old man is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court tomorrow morning following an incident where a taxi was stolen from the airport. The man was the sole occupant of the stolen taxi when police stopped the vehicle this morning. Initial reports indicated two persons were taken into custody. The 30 year old man is facing a charge of theft of motor vehicle and breach of probation. (Occurrence Number: 17-79522) -

The aunt of a woman who died after falling down a hotel laundry chute says she’s grateful that RCMP are reviewing the Regina police department’s investigation of the death.
But Delores Stevenson says she doesn’t have a lot of confidence in the justice system or in police investigating police.

City police investigating after robbery at financial institution Monday morning
City police are investigating a robbery that took place at a financial institution in the 3000 block of Eighth Street East on Monday morning.
Police say shortly after 11:30, officers were called to the area for reports of a robbery in progress.
According to a police news release, the suspect was gone when police arrived.
However, witnesses told police the man came into the financial institution and demanded money from an employee, claiming to have a weapon. No weapon was seen during the incident -

Two men were taken into custody after police recovered a taxi that was reported stolen from outside the Saskatoon airport on Monday morning.
