One of the favourite places for Saskatoon police to catch speeding drivers yielded substantial results earlier this week.
City police on Tuesday conducted traffic enforcement near the University Bridge for three hours and handed out 100 tickets between 9 a.m. and noon. Police say this has often been a problem area for high-speed traffic in the past.

Man charged after break-in at Saskatoon hospital
A man has been charged in connection with a break and enter at Saskatoon City Hospital.
Patrol and canine officers responded to the hospital around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Police said the suspect got in after smashing a glass door to the emergency department, which was closed and locked.
Police believe the accused, who was arrested without incident, was intoxicated at the time.
No one was injured.

I read with interest Minister Reiter’s recent announcement regarding the appointment of the new Saskatchewan Health Authority board of directors. I am confident those named are well qualified and committed to providing leadership through their governance responsibilities.
I was taken aback that despite the Ministry of Health’s commitment to ensuring patient-centred care for Saskatchewan citizens, there are no patient representatives on the new board. -
