A northern Saskatchewan village is lamenting the loss of one of its oldest buildings, after a Canada Day fire in Cumberland House.
Cumberland House RCMP received a report Saturday around 4:30 p.m. about a fire at the town’s Parish Hall, which was built in 1892 and belonged to the Archdiocese of Keewatin-Le Pas. RCMP and members of the local fire department responded to the scene and found the building in flames, RCMP said Tuesday in a news release.
