Gunshot wounds didn't contribute to the death of a man after a police chase through Saskatoon last week, according to the office of the chief coroner.
Saskatoon police said in a release Monday afternoon, saying the coroner had conducted an autopsy on 22-year-old Austin Eaglechief which "gunshot wounds (or firearm) neither caused nor contributed to the death."

Two men charged in connection to North Battleford standoff
Two men arrested following a standoff with RCMP in North Battleford on June 24 have been charged with weapons-related offences.
The standoff began after police received a report about a firearms complaint.

A 58-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to evade police on Saturday morning.

Against the backdrop of the River and the still-fenced off Remai Modern art gallery, the gallery’s long-awaited opening date was finally announced: Oct. 21.
The official announcement was made Tuesday by Remai Modern board chair Alain Gaucher in a press conference outside of the building.
