Overnight standoff on Avenue M leads to 7 arrests
Seven people are facing charges after an overnight standoff on Avenue M North in Saskatoon.
Police said in a Friday release they responded to a home just north of ED Feehan Catholic High School around 11:20 p.m. Thursday night, where they witnessed a person holding what appeared to be a handgun.

USA Today names Saskatoon one of top-5 Canadian destinations
Saskatoon has been named one of Canada's top five must-see tourist destinations in a contest run by USA Today.
The magazine had a group of travel writers generate a list of their favourite spots, then turned it over to online voters to put the list in order.
The Bridge City placed fourth, beating out heavyweights like Banff and Canmore, Alta., and even the nation's capital in Ottawa.
