The propaganda from Burgundy (and via the movie Sideways) kept the price of the grapes and resulting wine anywhere from 20 to 30 per cent higher than other grapes. Competition has worked its magic in the last decade and now Pinot Noir is being grown pretty much everywhere the su -

At the end of the school year, burning followed learning
You don’t need a calendar to mark the end of the school year. You can smell it. Literally. There’s a flower or weed that blooms in late June around here, and it’s as sweet as dessert.
The smell has the ability to dissolve all the bones in your body, like when you slide into a hot tub. You’re instantly relaxed and everything is right with the world. This is how dogs feel when you scratch their favourite part. Their eyes go glassy and it’s all just gaaaaah.

Vanstone: Riders' pre-season finale belonged in a dumpster
During the obligatory fourth quarter of Friday’s somniferous CFL pre-season finale, TSN aired a commercial for the Bagster — the dumpster in a bag! — and viewers who remained were urged to “be ready for the mess.”
The advertisement should have been aired, in cautionary fashion, as a lead-in to the game.
Mind you, the ad’s placement in garbage time was also timely, considering that the Saskatchewan Roughriders absorbed a 42-10 evisceration at the hands (paws?) -

Q: What attracted you to this position?
A: Obviously it’s exciting to be nearing the end of the capital campaign and be opening this world class facility, but
