Attempted murder, robbery and assaulting a peace officer are among the nearly two dozen charges laid against a 27-year-old man after a 10-minute flurry in the northern Saskatchewan community of Denare Beach.
Creighton and Flin Flon RCMP responded June 2 around 3 p.m. to several complaints of a male assaulting several people and breaking into homes in the village, police said in a news release.

Police use new anti-overdose spray for first time, save life
Saskatoon police have saved a life thanks to a new anti-overdose kit at their disposal.
According to a news release, officers were called to a home on 6th Street East near Lansdowne Avenue Wednesday evening, where they found a 19-year-old man unresponsive after taking fentanyl.
MD Ambulance hadn't arrived yet, so the officers successfully used a naloxone dose, which led to the man regaining consciousness.

The death of a 37-year-old man at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary is considered by investigators to be suspicious.
Christopher Andrew Van Camp, 37, died Wednesday while in custody at the Prince Albert facility. Emergency services were called and he could not be resuscitated, Correctional Service Canada said in a statement. RCMP was notified Wednesday around 8:35 a.m. of an inmate found dead at the penitentiary.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., June 7, 2017, Patrol Officers were dispatched to a medical call reporting that a man was unresponsive after having taken fentanyl at a residence in the 800 block of 6th Street East. As Police arrived prior to MD Ambulance, Officers administered Naloxone, which resulted in the 19-year-old victim regaining consciousness.
