Dr. Patrick Man Pan Yuen named the scholarship fund in memory of his mentor, Dr. Donald Baxter, who taught neurology at the U of S medical school when Yuen was a medical student, according to a university news release.

The union representing almost 50 direct care workers at an Outlook group home for people with mental disabilities says it has applied to the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board to end a lockout that began on May 21.
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) West said it does not believe the workers were given adequate notice of the lockout, and that it wants programs to resume for about 25 residents who were forced to relocate.

Two men rescued from van following morning rollover
Two men were rescued on Friday morning after the a van rolled over on the corner of 60th Street and Millar Avenue.
At 6:30 a.m. the Saskatoon Fire Department received a call from Saskatoon Police regarding a multi-vehicle rollover. The fire department dispatched an engine company and rescue truck.
Upon arrival, rescue personal found a van on its side after having collided with a car. Rescue personal stabilized the vehicle and two men were removed from the van.
