  The Canadian Forces and Department of National Defence has updated the status of a number of its major procurement programs including the Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships which it says will be fully operational by 2025.

  The City of Ottawa is seeking volunteers to keep filling sandbags to protect flood-threatened homes on what’s a holiday for many.

  Nearly 100 people in Gatineau have been evacuated from their homes as water continues to rise along the Ottawa River.
  Water levels along the Ottawa River are expected to peak by Saturday.
  The forecast calls for levels just shy of what caused the historic 2017 foods, according to the Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board. There is more rain in the forecast north of the region later this week and warmer weather.
