His grandparents, who winter in Florida, are driving back to Ontario now, and he wants them to return to a home above water.

  Minutes before Louise Séguin Lortie plunged to her death in a creek bed while driving home Saturday morning, another motorist up ahead was stopped just before the metres-deep hole where the road had washed away near Quyon.

  My local Liberal MPP, Marie-France Lalonde, who represents Orléans at Queen’s Park, has a private member’s bill which essentially aims to scrap the twice-yearly time change in Ontario. We’d set the clocks ahead in March 2020, but not set them back in October. The bill recently passed first reading with unanimous support.

  The flood of 2017 took a lot of people in Constance Bay off guard. They say they’ll be prepared this time.
  Dozens of volunteers swarmed around piles of sand at the community centre on Saturday, filling bags and piling them into cars and trucks. The bags were taken away as fast as they could be filled.
