  Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect in a theft at an east end fast food restaurant in February.
  The theft occurred Feb. 2 at about 2:25 a.m., when a woman forgot her purse after ordering a meal at the restaurant in the 1000 block of St. Laurent Boulevard.

  The capital region’s jobless remained steady at 5.1 per cent in March compared to February despite the addition of 2,800 net new jobs, Statistics Canada reported Friday.
