People attending a craft beer festival in Toronto in June will be able to smoke pot there, too, in what organizers say will be the first legal cannabis lounge in the province.
The “POTio” will be created in an outdoor area normally reserved for cigarette smokers at the provincially-owned Ontario Place.

An Air Canada flight had a “bit of a hairy landing” at the Ottawa Airport early Thursday after the plane hit a flock of birds.
An Air Canada spokeswoman said that flight AC342, with 170 passengers on board, which was scheduled to arrive from Vancouver at 12:46 a.m., made contact with birds on the descent and “as per our operating procedures airport services were called.”

Work to begin Saturday on Portage Bridge cycle track, HOV lane
The second phase of work to improve Portage Bridge cycle track and repave the northbound high-occupancy vehicle lane starts first thing Saturday morning.
Work on the cycling track includes widening it by 10 cm to 2.6 metres and adding a barrier between cars and the growing number of cyclists, the National Capital Commission said.
The Portage Bridge cycling lanes are used by more than 300,000 cyclists per year, a number that’s growing by four per cent each year, the NCC said.
