Robert Lavergne is not like the other teachers at St. Patrick’s Catholic High School.
He’s an auto shop teacher, 55 years old — the one who hugged the girls as they walked into his class.

Police arrested a 20-year-old man Thursday in connection with a stabbing on Dynes Road last weekend.

Fire crews tackle smoking shredding truck
Looks like some documents slated for shredding got scorched for good measure.
Officer workers got a birdseye view of firefighters tackling a fire in the cargo area a shredding truck Friday morning.
A company that offers mobile shredding services called the fire department at 9 a.m. reporting smoke in the back of the truck, which was parked near 1600 James Naismith Dr. in the Pineview area.
