  Ottawa police announced Sunday they are investigating the death of 43-year-old Ilyas Ibrahim as a homicide after he died on the weekend, more than a week after he was found in Lowertown with multiple stab wounds.
  Police also confirmed Sunday that one person was in custody related to the incident. According to police, the victim and suspect had known one another.

  The Royal Canadian Air Force has received its first two used Australian fighter jets at 4 Wing Cold Lake in Alberta.
  The aircraft will be used to bolster the RCAF’s CF-18 fleet.

  One human family and a lot of pets escaped safely from a late afternoon fire in eastern Orléans on Saturday.
