All is now quiet, for a change, for Ottawa's rarest bird — and its neighbours
The habitat of the ultra-rare lazuli bunting that accidentally flew to Ottawa this fall has gone quiet. The scores of birders have migrated elsewhere.
For more than a week, birders stood at the edge of National Capital Commission property, peering at a feeder in the adjacent Smith family’s backyard with binoculars and cameras in search of the elusive songbird.
The lazuli bunting belongs in the southwest United States, or in Mexico at this time of year. Only 11 have ever been spotted in Ont -

Heart disease, stroke and cognitive decline have deep connections, says report
Evelyn Greenberg, pianist, teacher, volunteer and sister of former Ottawa mayor Jacquelin Holzman had a stroke last June.
