'Just another day in the Market': Late-night shooting on Rideau Street injures one
Rideau Street was back to its normal bustle of shoppers and transit riders Monday morning following a shooting the night before that left one man injured and saw police descend on the area near the Rideau Centre shopping mall.
Police said the victim, a 59-year-old man, was sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They would not reveal further details about the victim.
The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. on Rideau Street — not at the mall, police stressed.

A 15-year-old Brockville girl who had been reported missing is now back at home with her family.
Brockville Police had issued a release Monday morning asking the public for assistance locating Jessie Edgley, who was last seen at around 7 p.m. Sunday at her family’s north-end home, was missing. At 2:40 p.m. Monday, police reported she’d been found.

Aidan Scott, 25, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of robbery with violence and two counts of disguise with intent, which covers masking the face for the purpose of committing a crime.

Brockville police search for missing girl
Brockville police are asking for the public’s help in finding 15-year-old Jessie Edgley.
She was last seen around 7 p.m. Sunday in her north-end home. She is 5-foot-7 with a tiny build and slightly longer than shoulder-length brown hair. She may be wearing a long blue coat.

Late-night shooting on Rideau Street injures one
A shooting in downtown Ottawa on Sunday night sent one person to hospital and had police descending on the area near the Rideau Centre shopping mall.
Police said the victim’s injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening. They would not reveal further details about the victim.
The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. on Rideau Street — not at the mall, police stressed.

Police descend on Rideau Street after late-night shooting
Ottawa police blocked off a section of Rideau Street downtown after a shooting Sunday night.
One victim was taken to hospital with injuries that weren’t believed to be life-threatening, according to police, who provided no further details about the victim.
The shooting took place on Rideau, not at the nearby Rideau Centre shopping mall, police said. Numerous police and emergency vehicles were at the scene around 10:30 p.m., and yellow police tape marked off the area.
