Updated: Cameron Rogers pleads guilty to murdering parents, admits fabricating sex assault allegations
Cameron Rogers is a “callous” murderer and a “calculated” liar.
In a plea deal Wednesday, the 24-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder for the brutal November 2016 killing of his parents Dave Rogers and Merrill Gleddie Rogers and admitted fabricating a story about years of sexual abuse at the hands of his father.
Rogers will serve two concurrent life sentences with no chance of parole for 20 years. He will be 44.

Woman arrested after cruisers rammed: OPP
Two OPP cruisers suffered minor damage when, police allege, a 50-year-old woman “intentionally” struck them with her car during an arrest near Kingston on Tuesday.
It was at 1:10 a.m. that Frontenac OPP officers located the woman, who was wanted in a Dec. 9 “threatening occurence,” in her vehicle in a parking lot in Parham, about 50 kilometres north of the city.
No one was hurt in the incident, police said.
