  A cold bright sun shone on the green and purple wreaths that mark 100 years since the end of the Great War, and many other conflicts since then.
  There are cannons, and CF-18s, and many uniforms, and at least one new feature on the date that officials are calling Armistice 100: A special wreath to commemorate everyone who served in the First World War.

  KINGSTON — Twenty-eight years after Kingston was rocked by revelations of child molestation by the man whose name was then synonymous with choir at St. George’s Cathedral, a 19th victim has been added to John Austen Gallienne’s account.
  Gallienne, who now lives in Ottawa, appeared last week in Ontario Court of Justice to face two charges of sexual assault and one of gross indecency committed against an accuser between January 1985 and September 1987.

  The Ottawa Police Service is reporting a crash in the Montreal Road area, early Sunday morning.
  At approximately 1:20 a.m. a police officer carried out a  traffic stop on a vehicle. 
  The driver fled in his vehicle and collided with a utility pole a short distance away, knocking out power to several blocks in the area. 
  Occupants in the fleeing vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

  After The Storm, Saturday night’s TD Place concert to raise funds for the United Way’s tornado relief efforts, was a success well before the Jim Cuddy Band hit the stage. As Mayor Jim Watson noted early in the show, thousands of dollars in advance donations had been gathered before the music started.

  A fire investigator has been sent to the scene of a fire that broke out in an unoccupied home on Cole Avenue after dark Saturday.
  Flames were coming from several sides of the house when firefighters arrived on the scene a little before 6 p.m.
  The building at 538 Cole Ave., near Princeton Avenue in Westboro, is a new rowhouse.
