The girlfriend of a man fatally stabbed in the middle of a Vanier street in April 2017 is now wanted for first-degree murder in an unrelated homicide — the Saturday night hotel beating death of an Ottawa man.
Homicide detectives announced Tuesday that Crystal Bastien, a 32-year-old escort, is wanted for the killing of Mohamad Mana, 30. Police believe Bastien was in the hotel room when Mana was bound and beaten to death.
Her exact role in the circumstances surrounding the homicide

Cohen: Caroline Mulroney's refusal to oppose Doug Ford shows she's not as progressive as we thought
On Feb. 2, 2006, Prime Minister Stephen Harper appointed Michael Chong Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, president of the Privy Council and Minister of State for Sport. At 35 years old, a Canadian of Chinese heritage, Chong had made it into the first cabinet of the new Conservative government.
The portfolio was junior, but so was Chong; he had been elected only two years before. Now he was a rising star in national politics.
On Nov. 27, 2006, nine months later, Chong resigned from cabinet. -
House Works: Four tips for cutting mitre joints like a pro

Follow these four tips and you’ll be surprised how easy it is t -

How a scholar led reshaping of Carleton's sexual violence policy

Stay quiet and carry on.

Middle-income residents of Prince Edward Island facing an expensive drug treatment has to cover the first $4,400 with their own money – then their provincial pharmacare program pays for the rest. But if they live in Manitoba, they pay $3,063 before provincial coverage kicks in. In British Columbia, they only pay $2,150.
The unevenness in who is covered, for what kinds of drugs, and for how much, is one reas -
