It appears the killdeer will have safely flown the coop by the time the first note is struck at Bluesfest 2018.
Festival organizers told this newspaper Saturday that three of the four eggs in the famous bluesnest had hatched and that the fourth was expected to hatch before nightfall.
The young birds usually gain their independence extremely quickly, and it was expected the nest would be abandoned within 24 hours after the last egg had hatched.
The first Bluesfest acts take to the stage on July 5

It is, after all, a huge educational community: about 21,000 full-time students, another 42,000 registered in continuing education and 4,400 full and part-time employee -

Editorial: Quirky, curious, contradictory Canadians
Canada is a moderate nation. A polite nation. A nice nation. At least, in the eyes of everyone except Donald Trump.
