Brady O’Hearn-Benoit, 32, of Ottawa, who was reported missing Saturday, has been found safe, Ottawa police said Saturday afternoon.
Police had earlier asked for the public’s assistance in locating him.
O’Hearn-Benoit had last been seen in the area of Richmond Road and Croydon Avenue in the Lincoln Field area at about 10:30 a.m.

Château Montebello guests forced into cold by smokey chimney fire
Guests at the deluxe Fairmont Château Montebello were forced into the cold for a few hours early Saturday when a chimney fire sent smoke through the wooden building.
Fire alarms sounded shortly after 11 p.m. and staff assisted guests outside to await firefighters.
First responders quickly found the source of the smoke in the large chimney above the resort’s signature central fireplace.
There were no injuries. Montebello, Que., is about 80 km east of Ottawa. -

The weather gods heard the news, and have delivered a wintry environment for the first weekend of Winterlude.
Environment Canada is predicting mainly cloudy skies with a 30 per cent chance of light snow for Saturday, with a high of -8 C. However, winds from the SSE in the morning will make it feel like -25.

The assailant forced open the doors and fled after hitting the driver in the face, possibly breaking his nose.
Ottawa police and paramedics responded to the emergency call during Friday’s rush hour. The bus operator had by then stopped his vehicle on St. Laurent Boulevard and Tremblay Road.

Carleton Place councillor charged with assaulting the mayor
The acrimony at Carleton Place Town Hall reached a boiling point Friday when a local councillor was charged with assaulting the mayor.
Officers from the Lanark County OPP detachment were called to town hall at 12:04 p.m. in response to the report of a fight inside the historic downtown building.
A subsequent investigation resulted in one count of assault being laid against Doug Black, 65, a longtime Carleton Place councillor and IT consultant.

More questions raised about role of security guards in courthouse altercation
The Maniwaki man shot in the face during a courthouse altercation with a special constable is recovering in a Gatineau hospital as more questions are raised about the actions of security officials.
Steven Bertrand, 18, is out of danger and is “getting better and better every day,” according to an update provided by his mother, Julie, two days after the shooting incident.
