Canadian military hospital in Iraq as long as needed – U.S. will stay until confident ISIL is defeated
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says the U.S. will stay in Iraq as long as the Islamic State poses a threat. “We will remain in Iraq until ISIS is defeated and we are confident that ISIS has been defeated,” he explained to U.S. lawmakers.
ISIS or ISIL is in retreat, slipping away to remote areas in the desert. But there is little question the extremist group will continue its insurgency.

Review: Philip Pullman's Golden Compass prequel The Book of Dust: La Belle Sauvage worth the wait
La Belle Sauvage was worth every second of the 17-year wait.
The tome, the first of three new books in The Book of Dust, returns readers to the world Philip Pullman created with His Dark Materials, the epic trilogy featuring the feisty Lyra Belacqua as heroine, joined by sidekick and eventual lover, Will Parry. Cohen: This Halloween, Trump should be afraid of Robert Mueller
And so, on the 258th day of Donald J. Trump’s term of office, we reach a watershed. The slow unravelling of his presidency has begun.
It is not the indictments alone of Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign manager, and Manafort’s associate, Rick Gates. Or the guilty plea of George Papadopoulos, a junior foreign policy adviser.
If they were the whole case that Robert Mueller, the special counsel, was building against Trump, there would be calm in the White House.
