A second teenager has died after a single-car crash outside Renfrew early Friday.
The Renfrew Timberwolves hockey team confirmed in an email on Saturday that Alex Paquette had died.
Four 18-year-old men, all players on the Renfrew team, were involved in the crash.
Brandon Thomas Hanniman of Admaston Bromley Township was pronounced dead at the scene. An air ambulance transported one man to the hospital and paramedics transported two men.

The rain outlook for the capital is looking grimmer.
Environment Canada on Saturday issued an official rainfall warning for the Ottawa area, saying a low-pressure system from the U.S. could bring 50 to 100 mm of rainfall by Sunday night.
“The rain will become quite heavy at times Sunday night as a strong low pressure area from the Atlantic crosses New England Sunday then goes into Southern Quebec by Monday morning,” the agency warned.

Ottawa man charged with threatening a youth social service employee
Ottawa police arrested Melcamm Brigaldino, 19, on Friday night in relation to threats made to a youth social service staff member.
Brigaldino faces charges of uttering threats, mischief, and counseling commission of an indictable offence which is not committed. It’s alleged he threatened to use a firearm.
Police are investigating allegations the accused used social media to encourage others to assault the youth service’s employee.

Royal Military College extends condolences to family on death of Officer Cadet
A first-year cadet at the Royal Military College was found dead in Kingston on Thursday.
Officer Cadet Jeffrey Daniel Remmelgas (photo below) had been reported missing since Oct. 13.Police say foul play is not suspected in the death of the 19-year-old.

Ontario begins search for places to set up LCBO-run pot shops when marijuana is legalized
Ontario has announced it is looking for places to set up marijuana stores run by the LCBO across the province.
The LCBO will work closely with municipal governments and local communities to decide the location of the stores, according to a release from the Finance Department.

Temporary hospital bed funding in Ottawa only partially covers bed cost
There was less than met the eye to the Ontario government’s announcement this week of 2,000 new hospital beds to combat overcrowding during flu season.
Not only are the beds temporary, but the funding provided is less than the full cost of a bed in most cases. A number of the beds will not be located in hospitals at all.
