• Murder investigation launched after body found near Campbell River

  A body found near Campbell River last month has been identified as 21-year-old Joshua Munro and RCMP are treating his death as a homicide.
  Munro’s body was discovered in a wooded area outside the city on Feb. 22. 
  Campbell River RCMP spokesperson Ron Vlooswyk says investigators believe he was the victim of a targeted homicide.
  Vlooswyk says the public is not considered to be at risk.
  Munro had a lengthy criminal record that included a history of property offences and fraud.

  Police are investigating after a teen girl was injured after an argument broke out at a Surrey house party on Monday evening.
  The incident began after a party near 88th Avenue and King George Boulevard spilled out into the street, according to Surrey RCMP. The party had been attended by approximately 100 teenagers, many of whom where drinking alcohol.

  Local police are aware of the possible link between B.C. and a trio of suspects being sought in a vicious Mississauga, Ont. assault on a helpless man.
  “We have not been contacted about this incident,” said Sgt. Jason Robillard with the Vancouver Police on Tuesday morning.
