  The BC SPCA has seized 46 neglected dogs and puppies from a rural property north of Williams Lake.
  Marcie Moriarty, chief prevention and enforcement officer for the BC SPCA, said the dogs, a mix of breeds including American Eskimo, border collies, husky and Samoyed crosses, were seized Feb. 22 because of “lack of shelter, poor sanitation and inadequate veterinary care.”

  The Coquihalla Highway has reopened following a multi-vehicle crash the previous evening that sent 29 people to hospital and stranded another 136 in Hope.
  The crash was reported just after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday evening and closed the stretch between Hope and Merritt in both directions, just south of the Othello Road exit.
