According to a media release from the Revelstoke RCMP’s detachment commander, Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky, the two men, Taylor Dumonceaux and Andrew MacLeod, both 24, were reported missing around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, after they did not return to the Boulder Mountain parking lot.

Police watchdog investigating pedestrian hit by car in Vancouver

Burnaby RCMP investigating shots fired at a house Saturday night

Shortly after 10:30 p.m., Burnaby RCMP were on scene at Griffiths Avenue near Halligan Street — just east of Metrotown — investigating a report of shots fired.

Homicide investigators called to Surrey home

IHIT says the killing is believed to be targeted. No other details were immediately available.
Just after midnight on Saturday Surrey RCMP responded to a call in the 17800-block of 64th Avenue.

via vancouversun.comStaff at a bird rehabilitation centre in Kamloops typically don’t know where their rescued animals originally came from, but a recently discovered golden eagle was able to reveal just that.
The young golden eagle was found weak and starving just before the new year on the shore of the Thompson River.

Anti-government protests continue in the Islamic Republic of Iran, where tens of thousands of protesters have taken to the streets, primarily over economic conditions. Since the unrest started Dec. 28, at least 21 people have been killed and hundreds more jailed.

Two men in hospital following Friday night stabbing in Surrey
via vancouversun.comPolice are investigating after two men were taken to hospital late Friday following a stabbing.
Around 11 p.m. Friday, Surrey RCMP were called to the 9600-block of 169 Street.
Officers found two men suffering from injuries, one from a stab wound and another with unspecified injuries. Both men were taken to hospital in serious condition.
Traffic in the area was re-directed for some time as police combed the scene for evidence.
