  Abbotsford police say two officers are injured and a suspect is in custody following a reported shootout outside an Abbotsford strip mall Monday afternoon.

  The opioid death toll in Vancouver continues to climb at an alarming rate, with the Vancouver police reporting three more suspected overdose deaths in the city for the week of Oct. 23-29.

  Young Indigenous drug users are 13 times more likely to die than others in their age group, and women make up more than half of the deaths, according to a study that monitored more than 600 young people in Vancouver and Prince George over 12 years.
