Your guide to Halloween fireworks in Metro Vancouver: Where can you, where can't you
via vancouversun.comFor many, Metro Vancouverites Halloween wouldn’t be the holiday it is without the spectacular flash and boom of a seasonal fireworks display to light up the evening sky, to the chagrin of Metro Vancouver fire departments.
Where you can buy fireworks and where you are allowed to set them off, however, is a patchwork of local regulations.
A few municipalities, such as Vancouver, West Vancouver and New Westminster do allow private displays, subject to restrictions.

Lagimodiere was surviving quite nicely, thank you, in an underground bunker he has built into the side of the muddy, slippery bank of a ravine near Lakewood Street and 12th Ave. in East Vancouver.
That is, until a chance discovery by Vancouver police on Oct. 4.

According to stats provided by the convention centre, it’s the largest green roof in Canada, the -
Opinion: Run-off elections beat proportional representation
via vancouversun.comThe Trudeau government promised electoral reform.
As someone who spent years studying political science, I faithfully watched to see which new system they would select. None, was their answer and it was not unexpected. Big changes promised in opposition seldom translate to real action when in power.

Fumano: After Vancouver byelection, don't expect housing policy debates to stop soon
