  WILLIAMS LAKE — A regional district that has been devastated by flames during British Columbia’s worst recorded wildfire season says 62 homes and 140 outbuildings have been destroyed and the number is likely to rise.

• Motorcyclist killed in early morning crash in Delta

  Delta police are on the scene of a fatal motor-vehicle accident that occurred early Tuesday morning on Highway 17 near 64th Street.
  Police say a motorcyclist travelling westbound lost control while he was changing lanes, was thrown from his bike and struck by a passing five-tonne truck.
  The motorcyclist died at the scene.

  China Investment Corp. has reduced its holding in Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TECK.B) by more than one-third, to 10.4 per cent.

  VANCOUVER — Mounties answered dozens of calls Monday night due to a possible meteorite strike in south-central British Columbia.
  Numerous people took to social media to say they heard a sonic boom and a fireball hit the ground at about 10 p.m.Police received calls from Nelson, the Okanagan, the Comox Valley and as far as Calgary to the east.
