  VICTORIA — The new B.C. NDP government will raise the minimum wage by $0.50 an hour in September, and move to a $15 an hour rate in an unspecified “planned, responsible” future time frame.

  A Vancouver resident is one of two men facing first degree murder charges in connection with the beating death of a 29-year-old man in Fort Richmond, Manitoba on Sunday night.

  On the day after a Massachusetts man was killed and two of his relatives injured by a tour bus at Canada Place in downtown Vancouver, police and port staff sported whistles and stop signs to help guard pedestrians and to direct traffic.
