The West Coast Express commuter train is been disrupted this morning due to what TransLink is calling a police incident at the Main Street overpass.
TransLink says WCE Train 2 is being held one mile from Waterfront. TransLink say passengers aboard the stopped train were allowed to disembark after nearly an hour.

Police are investigating a blatant hit-and-run of a Burnaby flagger after a video of the incident was posted online Wednesday evening.

CALGARY — A 33-year-old man from British Columbia has been charged in a police investigation into robberies conducted in Calgary hotel rooms involving a suspect allegedly impersonating an officer.
Police say a male contacted sex-trade workers through online classified ads and arranged to meet the women at hotels between March and June of this year.

Police in Burnaby are investigating a shooting that took place Tuesday evening in Edmonds Park.
Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the park located behind Edmonds Community Centre for a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old Burnaby man suffering non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Four people were taken to hospital and a horse was killed after a wagon crashed over a 40-foot embankment near Williams Lake on Tuesday.
The accident happened near Farwell Canyon during an eight-day wagon train from the Xeni Gwet’in First Nation to Williams Lake.

Two Japanese foreign exchange students were rescued Tuesday afternoon from Thetis Lake on Vancouver Island by two girls on paddleboards and a man in a fishing float tube.
The international students were swimming at the sunny-side cliffs, not at the main beach, when they got into trouble, said View Royal Fire Chief Paul Hurst.

A jury has found a Burnaby man guilty of conducting a campaign of criminal harassment over the Internet against his former wife.
The verdict for Patrick Fox, 43, came early Wednesday afternoon following a day of deliberations by the B.C. Supreme Court jury in Vancouver.
