  A 36-hectare fire 40 kilometres southwest of Lac La Lache is contained, but the B.C. Wildfire Service remains cautious.
  “We’re not confident at this time it won’t spread,” Cariboo Fire Centre fire information officer Natasha Broznitsky explained Sunday about a fire the BCWS is still listing as “out of control.”

• Hiker rescued from Coquitlam's Burke Mountain following heat-induced medical incident

  Coquitlam search and rescue crews were out on Burke Mountain Saturday afternoon for a medical rescue caused by heat.
  Crews were able to pinpoint the hikers’ location using a GPS-based app and a field team was able to reach the hikers about an hour after the call was received.
  “Our medical rescue on Burke Mountain was heat related – it’s clearly hot out there,” read an update from the team’s Twitter account.
