Bail denied North Bay man charged in murder case

“I am satisfied that every factor to be considered under section 515(10)(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada leads to the conclusion that the detention of the accused is necessary to maintain confidence in the administration of justice,” said Superior Court Justice Edward Gareau, concerning the bail release application by Robert Steven Wright, 38, of North Bay.

via nugget.caTwo Barrie residents face drug and gun charges following an OPP traffic stop in Callander at 11:30 pm Tuesday.
After speaking with the driver, officers became suspicious and began an investigation. As a result, the driver and passenger were arrested at the scene.
A search of the vehicle resulted in police locating a large quantity of drugs, suspected to be cocaine and marijuana. Police also located a loaded handgun in the vehicle. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be approximately $2 -

North Bay OPP stopped a vehicle for speeding in Callander at about 11:30 p.m.. Officers became suspicious while talking to the driver and arrested the driver and passenger at the scene.
