British Columbians will be able to get select menopause and diabetes drugs at no cost starting on March 1 as part of a deal struck with the federal government almost a year ago.
Health Minister Josie Osborne said this will help more than 500,000 people living with diabetes and roughly 160,000 with menopausal symptoms.

Two people were fined over $10,000 in B.C. Provincial Court in Nanaimo for illegally harvesting shellfish in the Nanoose area two years ago.
In a press release, Fisheries and Oceans Canada said Chao Jan Yu had $6,500 in fines levied against him. Nanoose Bay crash sends 1 person to hospital
A crash in Nanoose Bay sent one person to hospital on Feb. 25.
BC EHS were called out at approximately 2:15 p.m. to the 2200 block of Northwest Bay Road, according to BCEHS Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.
An ambulance with primary care paramedics and an ambulance with advanced care paramedics responded to the scene.
“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in stable condition,” Twaites said.

The Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games will officially begin with the Opening Ceremony tonight, Feb. 26, at the Trail Memorial Centre.
