Quebec’s Transport Ministry is investigating what caused several pieces of concrete to fall from the exit ramp connecting the Décarie Expressway southbound to Highway 20 West in the Turcot Interchange. The access ramps off of Highway 15 at the Turcot Interchange that were closed for emergency inspections Tuesday morning have reopened, Transport Quebec said.
Two access ramps off of Highway 15 leading to the 20 West at the Turcot interchange were closed for emergency inspections early Tuesday after a report that concrete had fallen from the structure. The report was issued at 5 a.m.

The jury trial of a Montreal teenager accused of stabbing a 15-year-old to death after a Halloween party on Nuns’ Island began Tuesday in Quebec Youth Court with the prosecution’s summary of the evidence.

Montreal-area raids target alleged black market labour ring
Raids aimed at an alleged black market labour ring were launched early Tuesday by Quebec’s Labour Ministry.
The ministry alleges the ring worked out of job placement agency that exploited workers with little knowledge of their legal rights — particularly in the areas of the minimum wage or benefits available to sick or laid off employees.
Six raids have been carried out thus far in the wake of an investigation launched by the ministry.
