Montreal police are treating as suspicious the death of a man in Roxboro who was found shot in his upper body Saturday morning.
Police responded to a 911 call at 9:50 a.m., showing up at an apartment building on 1st Ave. N, near Gouin Blvd. W.
“When the police arrived they found a man in the basement with gunshot injuries to his upper body,” said Constable Audre-Anne Picard of the Montreal Police Department. “Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on the scene.”

Body of missing teenager found in Quebec City cement quarry
The body found Friday evening in a cement quarry in the Quebec City neighbourhood of Beauport has been identified as that of a teenager who was reported missing Wednesday.

Four men injured in fight near Bell Centre
Four men were injured, one of them seriously, following a fight that broke out near the Bell Centre overnight in Montreal.
A first victim was found around 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a gas station on de la Montagne Street across from the stadium. The 20 year old had suffered serious injuries to his head, but was expected to survive.
A 21-year-old man who had been stabbed in the upper body then met with police. His life is not believed to be in danger.
