  Police say a body recovered from the St. Lawrence River on Sunday is that of a man.
  The body was spotted by a passer-by Sunday morning at the intersection of Notre Dame St. E. and Haig Ave. in the Mercier—Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough. 
  The body was removed from the water by Montreal firefighters.
  The age of the person found remains unknown, said Montreal police spokesperson Constable Caroline Chèvrefils. It also was not known how long the body had been in the water.

  A 19-year-old man is in critical condition after he was assaulted at the corner of St-Laurent Blvd. and Sherbrooke St. W., according to police.
