  Concerned about their health due to high levels of dust, noise and traffic emanating from construction work on the Turcot Interchange, community organizations from neighbourhoods including N.D.G. and St-Henri organized a planning session Monday evening to discuss possible recourse.
  Residents in St-Henri living downwind of the project complained of sustained dust that forces them to live with their windows closed year-round and no action from the KPH-Turcot consortium rebuilding the interchange.

  The provincial government will expand a program it began five years ago with the goal of helping drug addicts and alcoholics convicted of crimes from reoffending.

  Beekeepers in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta have experienced noticeable losses because of weather conditions. In Ontario, which has the largest number of beekeepers in Canada, the situation is being described as serious.
  A survey of almost 900 Ontario beekeepers indicated that 70 per cent suffered unsustainable losses.

  A man who was arrested Friday after his father’s body was found in a ditch near St-Laurent’s Technoparc has been charged with first-degree murder. 
  Jérémie Fortier-Grenier, 23, of Lachine made a brief appearance before a Quebec Court judge at the Montreal courthouse on Monday. He was also charged with improperly or indecently interfering with a body.

  Police are investigating the shooting of a man in a white convertible. Shots rang out around 1:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Belanger and Garner Sts. in the borough of Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie. It appears the victim was shot in the head. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Police fear for his life.
  Witnesses say the victim is a 39-year-old man. A suspect was seen fleeing, and a gun was found at the scene..
