MUHC, McGill join forces to fight infectious diseases
The McGill University Health Centre and McGill University are launching an interdisciplinary research association involving 250 health experts worldwide to battle infectious and immune-related diseases.

Longueuil police have turned to the public for assistance in tracking down a 20-year-old man who is a suspect in a killing last October.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Youcef Bouras after 18-year-old Muhammad Adhane was killed behind a building on St-Foy Blvd. the night of Oct. 15, 2017.

Quebec school board elections could be delayed until 2020
QUEBEC — The province is seriously examining the idea of delaying this year’s school board elections until 2020.
Education Minister Sébastien Proulx confirmed the possibility Thursday, noting he is in talks with the other political parties to see if they can come to an agreement.
Proulx said the delay would apply to all school boards. Elections are scheduled for Nov. 4.

Sherbrooke police arrest suspect in online luring case
A 20-year-old man was arrested by Sherbrooke police Thursday on allegations he used his computer to lure at least two persons under 14 years of age into sexual misconduct.
Police said one victim was in Sherbrooke and the other in Gatineau.
The suspect could face charges including preying on children online, production and distribution of child pornography and inciting sexual contact.
