Ready or not, a spring storm is coming. You can’t hide.
On Saturday, Environment Canada issued freezing rain warnings for southern Ontario, where power outages are expected.
The storm should hit Quebec on Sunday. It’ll continue in a north-east direction across the province through Tuesday.
Meteorologist Steve Boily says temperatures will hover around zero. This stands to change the type of precipitation experienced in the Montreal region.

Karl Lohnes: Dreaming of a perfect headboard for your bedroom
Welcome to Week 6 of my mission to fix the 10 most common decorating mistakes. Last week I shone some bright lighting ideas for the home. This week we sneak into the bedroom and tackle the focal point: the headboard. I am surprised at how many people do not have a headboard, but this piece is a must-have to create the head of the bed and complete the look of a properly decorated bedroom.
The Basics
Headboards were originally used to keep drafts away from sleepers. Today they’re a design el -

Shelter: At the crossroads of high tech and antiques in the Plateau
Caspian Kilkelly recalls that throughout his childhood he was surrounded by “nerdy people”.
His grandfather was an engineer and, he was told, tracked the launch of the Soviet-built Sputnik satellite on Oct. 4, 1957, by observing it through a telescope and listening to its beeping signal on the radio. For his part, Kilkelly’s father loves to play around with radios and computers.
So it seemed inevitable that Caspian would end up in a job that involves technology — alb -

Josh Freed: Trip down memory lane often paved with falsehoods
What were you doing on 9/11 — the day of the World Trade Center bombing?
You probably remember it with unusual clarity: How you found out, who was with you, where you were.
Yet you’re probably wrong about much of it.
In a study done days after the bombing, a New York professor surveyed more than 3,000 people about how they spent the day. Then she asked them the identical questions one year later — and almost half the answers had changed.
Soon after the bombing, one typical woma -

'Anti-Muslim rhetoric' in media spurred Alexandre Bissonnette to kill, Quebec mosque president says
Alexandre Bissonnette told police it was his fear that Canada was on the verge of accepting more refugees who would commit terrorist acts that spurred him to murder six men and wound five others at a Quebec City mosque last year.

Stu Cowan: Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin didn't make the grade this season
While the Canadiens were doing final interviews Monday in their Brossard locker room, one of the reporters nudged me and pointed toward a small, knocked-over garbage can on the floor. In it was the locker nameplate for Ales Hemsky.
It would have been a fitting photo to wrap up this dreadful Canadiens season, which saw them finish 28th in the overall NHL standings with a 29-40-13 record while ranking 29th in offence and 25th in defence.
It’s not Hemsky’s fault the Canadiens missed the -
